  1. Do you think the Nokia E71 should have had a dedicated camera button?

By default the right softkey points to the camera app, then you have to press the T button to focus on a subject, then click the center button to take the picture. On Nseries devices there is a dedicated button to open the camera, press same button to focus and take the picture.

I dont have a E71 but if I would have to press 3 different buttons to take a pic, I would definitevely want a dedicated camera button. E90 has one! Weird E71 does not.

  3. Or you could just press the center button and skip focusing.

I think a better button could have been used for focusing, like one of the softkeys. But where would a dedicated button go? They way you hold the phone necessitates that the center button act as a capture button.

WHATTT!! Just got my E71 TODAY. And I was like ''What is wrong this, did't it have AF??'' Then I remeber this post, and discovered I have to press T.

Unbelievable definitevely Nokia should put a camera button on E71!

    Another thing.

    The E71 icons look horrible.

  6. Definitely ugly icons. I would try to change themes that came with different icons.

I haven't used the T button - I just opened up the Options menu and made sure the camera was set on Autofocus, all you really have to do is press the capture button. By the way, I also changed the location for the Camera soft key because I was always pressing it accidentally.
